Unfortunately in Poland the number plate is attached to the car, if you are buying car from the same city the reg ( I think) stays on the car. If you are selling and buying often don't buy private reg. cos its stays with a car. How stupid is it ?
But any way, you have to give log book and reg to new owner and you have to pay for new reg as well. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I do not know what happens if a buyer is from a different city...?

As far as I remember if you have special/qool number plates (or your simply love your number) you can keep them however it makes the procedure more difficult and at some point it is more expensive (do not remeber for whom - buyer/seller).

Do you already know how it works with your insurance coverage when you sell a car (AC/OC - TPL/casco)?
